Mariel Zeccola, APRN
Mariel Zeccola, APRN is board-certified as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Child & Adolescent Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has been practicing in Connecticut for 13 years. Mariel received her graduate training at Yale School of Nursing and now continues her doctoral studies in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. She is currently doing research about parent-implemented developmental treatments for children with autism spectrum disorders.
Mariel has worked with a range of programs including outpatient mental health clinics, intensive in-home programs, inpatient psychiatric services, schools, and specialized camps. She has traveled around the world, working and teaching in Bolivia, France and Bhutan. She loves languages and connecting with people.
Mariel has additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, DIRFloortime® (Floortime), and play therapy. She has lectured at the Yale Child Study Center, for Health Volunteers Overseas and at the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL) national conference. Mariel cares deeply about learning across the life span. She provides assessment, medication management and therapy.
